2025-09-05 | Em'kal Eyongakpa Mbi: in a group exhibition at LoCA, Livingstone, Zambia
Our fellow Em'kal Eyongakpa Mbi is participating in a group exhibition 'How to Cook a Resistance', curated by Lineo Segoete, which was a part of the Sonic Solidarities Incubator eventĀ at LoCA art space in Livingstone, Zambia.
"How to cook a resistance is a mode of thinking, seeing, listening, reading and feeling, all geared towards repair. It is an avenue to channel the attitude and strategic thinking necessary to transform perceptions of inheritance, validity and value, within our contemporary art ecosystem. Resistance requires tools, both discrete and bold in presence, under which to organise and act upon. Where arms function in war, we turn to art for its utility and subtle ability to reach minds and stir emotions towards liberation."
Artists featured in the exhibition are: Chansa Chishimba, Sello Majara, Em'kal Eyongakpa Mbi and David Chirwa (Bar'Uchi).
